Submission and Publication
Authors may submit manuscripts using the Wohllebe & Ross submission portal. Following acceptance, articles are edited, typeset, and published in the current issue without delay, ensuring rapid dissemination. Accepted contributions are assigned a DOI and are made available under the current issue immediately upon completion of production.
Double-Blind Peer Review Process
This journal uses a double-blind peer review process. The identities of authors and reviewers remain concealed from each other throughout the review stage. The editorial team ensures that submitted manuscripts are anonymized before they are sent to reviewers. Authors are not required to anonymize their submissions themselves.
Authors may suggest potential reviewers when submitting their manuscript. These suggestions are taken into consideration but are not binding. Reviewers are selected based on their academic or professional qualifications relevant to the topic of the manuscript and must not have a conflict of interest. Reviewers are expected to evaluate the manuscript's quality, originality, clarity, and contribution, maintain confidentiality, and provide constructive and objective feedback. Reviewers must not attempt to identify the authors.
Manuscripts are generally reviewed by two or more independent, external reviewers. Editorial decisions are based on the reviewer reports and the journal's academic standards.
Conflicts of interest must be disclosed by authors, reviewers, and editors. If a manuscript is submitted by a member of the Editorial Board, the selection of reviewers and the editorial decision are handled by another member of the Editorial Board in order to ensure impartiality. Otherwise, submissions by Editorial Board members are treated the same as any other submission.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the data and arguments presented in their manuscript and must comply with relevant ethical standards. Research involving human or animal subjects must show evidence of appropriate ethical approval where required.
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a reasoned request. Appeals are reviewed by an editor who was not involved in the original decision. Complaints or concerns regarding ethical or procedural issues are handled in line with established academic publishing standards.
The journal is committed to fairness, academic integrity, and transparency in its review process.
Open Access, Copyright, Licensing
This journal operates on an Open Access basis. All articles are made available immediately upon publication in PDF format, free of charge and without subscription barriers. Users are permitted to download, print, copy, and otherwise use the articles for any lawful purpose, provided that the terms of the license are followed.
Authors retain full copyright and publishing rights for their articles without any restrictions. The submitting author confirms that the manuscript is original and authored by them and any listed co-authors. Where the manuscript includes text, figures, data, or other material from third-party sources, the submitting author affirms that all necessary permissions have been obtained.
All articles in this journal are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows users to share and adapt the material in a reasonable manner, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and that any changes are clearly indicated. Users may not impose additional legal or technological restrictions.
Plagiarism Screening
IJAAIB adheres to a strict anti-plagiarism policy. All submissions are checked using professional plagiarism detection software to ensure originality and academic integrity. If plagiarism is detected, the submission is rejected immediately. In cases of proven academic misconduct, the article and the author may be publicly listed, and future submissions may be barred. This rigorous approach protects both the reputation of the journal and the trust of its readership.
Corrections and Retractions
Small mistakes discovered by the authors after publication, which don't affect the scientific findings of the article, such as wrong email addresses, misspelled names or typos, are corrected silently. This means they are republished and fixed in the document without further notice. The relevant literature databases will be notified and asked to update their records accordingly.
Retractions serve to correct the literature and are reserved for seriously flawed articles that were published without proper attribution of sources or permission to republish, that present unreliable results due to fabrication or falsification of data, experimental errors or miscalculation, that involve plagiarism, or that report unethical research.
Retracted articles stay on the journal's article page but are clearly marked as retracted, with the reasons stated.
Archiving
This journal participates in the LOCKSS-based PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) for the long-term archiving of published articles.
