This study investigates the effect of pre-retirement plans on job satisfaction within Commissions in Kenya. Employing an explanatory research design, the study targets employees of various Commissions, with a sample size of 350 respondents selected through stratified random sampling. Data is collected using a self-administered questionnaire, analyzed with SPSS software through descriptive and inferential statistics. Statistical analysis, including multiple regression, was conducted to assess the relationship between pre-retirement planning and job satisfaction. The findings reveal a significant positive relationship (ß = .098, p < .05) between pre-retirement plans and job satisfaction, indicating that effective pre-retirement planning enhances employee satisfaction. The findings reveal a significant positive correlation, emphasizing the importance of structured pre-retirement plans in enhancing employee satisfaction and productivity. The study advocates for the implementation of robust pre-retirement programs as part of human resource strategies to elevate job satisfaction levels in Kenyan Commissions. The study recommends that commissions implement comprehensive pre-retirement programs to ensure a smoother transition for employees while improving overall job satisfaction.References
