This article argues that transparency within Science Granting Councils (SGCs) is increasingly vital for building trust, ensuring accountability, and promoting responsible stewardship of research funding. In the context of pervasive misinformation that undermines scientific credibility, transparent practices are presented as essential to maintaining public trust, enabling equitable access to research resources, and fostering innovation and social progress. Methodologically, the study adopts a qualitative, interpretive stance, employing document analysis and conceptual synthesis. It integrates theoretical perspectives with practical considerations to develop strategic frameworks for operationalising transparency, communication management, and stakeholder engagement in SGCs. The frameworks are informed by secondary data sources including broader academic literature and are anchored in conceptual approaches such as Stakeholder Theory, Strategic Communication Models, and Governance and Accountability scholarship. The academic contribution centres on a structured engagement framework and communication framework that apply stakeholder analysis, prioritises engagement strategies, and aligns communication with organisational goals. The proposed frameworks aim to enhance collaboration and strengthen relationships with diverse stakeholders. The article also delineates the roles and responsibilities within SGCs to promote efficient communication and sustain transparency throughout the grant lifecycle. The frameworks are also intended to be used as a guide especially for newly established SGCs.
