Abstract

Coaching enhances objective performance by addressing the root causes of performance gaps, providing actionable feedback, and promoting skill mastery and accountability. This study investigates the moderating role of situational leadership on the relationship between employee objective performance and job satisfaction in multinational companies in Ghana. Using a sample of 206 respondents from multinational companies in Ghana. Simple random sampling was adopted and the study employed SPSS v 26 and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze data collected via structured questionnaires. Findings reveal that objective performance is positively related to employee job satisfaction. Situational leadership had a positive and significant relationship with job satisfaction. However, situational leadership did not moderate the relationship between objective performance and job satisfaction. The study emphasizes that organizations can achieve its goals by implementing effective performance management systems and reward employee achievements so as to boost performance and job satisfaction. The study gives a comprehensive understanding of the interplay between crisis conditions, leadership approaches and employee outcomes. This will ultimately offer insights into how organizations can sustain performance and satisfaction levels among employees during times of crisis.
